Ways to Ensure Parallel Operation of Vanadium Flow Batteries to Create High Power Energy Storage Systems

Vanadium redox flow batteries are a highly efficient solution for long-term energy storage. They have long service life, low self-discharge, fire safe and can be used to create large-scale storage system. The characteristics of the battery determined by parameters its main components: stack determines power efficiency, an electrolyte battery’s capacity life. Several stacks must combined into one system powerful system; however, discharge differ even two identical connected in parallel. This article proposes hydrodynamic electrotechnical methods ensuring parallel operation several under same conditions.
